The Mission of Heartthrobs and Hound Dogs
Heartthrobs and Hound Dogs began because so often there is a misconception that shelter or rescue dogs are “broken”, that something is “wrong” with them, or that they can’t possibly be good enough to bring into your home, but that is so far from the truth. Because of this stereotype, I decided to start a project that would benefit not only the rescues involved, but also raise awareness that rescue dogs are just as wonderful as designer dogs.
Heartthrobs and Hound Dogs pairs adoptable rescue dogs with “heartthrob” fire fighters, police officers, and military veterans to help bring rescue dogs to the attention of people everywhere. These pups deserve to be seen for their full potential and not be overlooked just because they didn’t come from a breeder or pet store. The service men also deserve to be in the limelight as well and be recognized for their service to our cities and our country.
Come out and participate in our Who Adopted Who Event benefiting Williamson County Regional Animal Shelter.
We will be selling tickets to put your dog's paw print on our Who Adopted Who table.
